Overview: A collection of trails on Las Cruces's eastern edge which is a popular location for short afternoon excursions. A small hill with a number of communication and observatory structures on the summit is accessible via a network of mountain bike and hiking trails. Stats reflect parking at the eastern trailhead and hiking to the middle summit between the tall radio towers and the old university observatory structures.

From University Ave in south Las Cruces, drive east over I-25 and the road become Dripping Springs Road, which also takes you to the Organ Mountain recreation area. There is an eastern and a western parking area maintained by the BLM. I parked at the eastern one, so the trailhead uses that one.
