Either way, bolts really have no place anywhere but as a top anchor for popular routes. ... Why have bolts at the top why not use natural anchors and/or cam, hexes, or nuts? Re: Does climbing cause harm?
As far as erosion is concerned most rock climbing is done on hard rocks, not softer type rocks that would be affected by climbing. Putting in anchors where there is already an established route would be considered "bad ettiquete" There are generally 2 types of climbing 1. Traditional or tr...

The best way to find out is to call the individual chapter house that governs that area. coalmine at navajochapters org The visitor center often gives out misinformation or isn't completely informed. I disagree with "Who's looking" attitude as this will cause more closure and restrictions ...

Re: Day Surfing at Ledges Rapid on the Salt
I think they just drive there, don't they? There is a rough dirt road all along the river in that area. You might prefer high clearance, and if Cibicue Creek is up, you'll want 4WD. I have seen beat-up old cars in there, though! :). So your saying the "surf spot" is where along the dirt r...

In Safford there is a Mexican restaurant, I can find it if I'm there. It's pretty good. As I recall, it's on a corner on 191?? I remember nice waitress, good enough eats, very plain decor. One thing about Safford, there is the old Main Street. I hope people go in there and start businesses, fix it ...
