Lost Dutchman/Bluff Springs loop in the Supes is my weekly fitness hike when I don't have anything else going on (~9 miles). Typical time around when hiking without stops is 2hr 45min. My record time is 2hr 25min, which involved a fair amount of trail running.

Another belated happy birthday Joe. Considering all your conibutions to the local hiking community we should have you designated as our state hiking ambassador. But until that happens, I'll buy you a beer next time I see you.

Don't know Te-wa. A 2-stage car camp/day hike option does not sound very simple to me. I'm sticking with the backpack option. If you are offering a mid trip bailout point option for the long 1 day hikers, they might appreciate having that option.
