Thanks for the advice. We did end up going to the South Rim and hiked a short distance down the Bright Angel Trail. So worth the drive! My favorite place in the world.

we are going in the beginning of November this year and I will have my hubby and two boys with me. We will be making a day trip out from Vegas. I need any advice on short day hikes (my hubby is not so athletically inclined) and my boys are under 12 years old. I do however want them to see the beauty...

Area? I will be in the area for my nephew's christening, but have time for at least two day trips.
