Hey, we are planning an overnighter to Reavis Ranch. Wanted to know if anyone has been out to Upper Horrell Trailhead, Miles Trailhead or out FR305/306 near Pinto Peak trail. Any info would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Backpacking is our favorite...no tent unless necessary as having a roof interferes with our view of the stars! Of course any night spent outdoors, car or not, is a good one!

The cactus (hedge hog to be precise) are already in bloom along the road to Roger's Trough trailhead. The poppies and lupine ae doing well on the steep hillsides here, too.

Siphon Draw is a great hike, but it also depends on what you consider "moderate"...For length but not difficulty, we like the Black Mesa/Garden Valley Loop. To just get a feeling for the Superstitions, we ususally take new comers on the Hackberry Spring Loop. You have an incredible variety...

I'm sure you already do, but it's alway great to have a basic first aid kit and pliers or a multi-tool of some sort for pulling cactus spines or other nasties out of your self and your gear. Sounds like a fun trip...you will have to update us when you get back. Have fun and be safe!!

We have been to most of these and many more! In our opinion, you can't beat Arizona for hiking and camping and historic destinations. Not to mention, we have the best weather, too! Hope you get to visit all of them!!

We often see them on the dirt roads by Four Peaks this time of year. As far as the small sized ones go, we've seen them in late Spring at Grand Canyon. We assumed they were a different species, but we are in no way spider experts.

If you follow the horse trail north, it looks like there's some good area to camp in. If you are not set on being in Garden VAlley, the Hackberry Spring area is beautiful, too.

The Bog Spring Trail is a moderate trail...not exactly Madera but close enough for the birds and butterflies. Have fun!!

Highway 180 is a great drive for color so far. It looks like Locket's Meadow would be gorgeous, too! So happy to see Fall color!!
