Same here Matt - no idea what happened. But it started happening late Friday afternoon. At first it looked like the site was hacked - but now it's a weird consulting firm. No idea what is going on.

The drought has ended
Seems it's been a couple of years since I've wasted everyone's time with a pointless link.
Well, I say it's high time that drought ended.
Do you love Metal? How about Ninjas? Well - Ninja's love metal - so - well...I'm not sure where to go with that.
Oh, well - enjoy!

Aliens cause global warming
Don't let the title throw you. Michael Crichton recently made a speech titled Aliens cause global warming . It's long - but one heck of a speech. His argument is solid - and he presents it in a way that is really effective as well. If you have a spare 10 minutes for the read, I highly recommend it. ...

Good general site - but sometimes the links can be hard to track down.
A personal favorite of mine is the Hubble News Center.
Some of the pictures are just spectacular.

Interesting post. Well done on the survival part. Sucks that you had to get to that point though. I've been there before too - and it can be a revealing moment. Pete makes an interesting point: He made a decision to survive. We should all hope that we never find ourselves in a situation where we hav...

Well, now I'm really pissed. That sounds like a lot of fun - I'm totally bummed I missed it. Of course - I'm also glad I didn't go. This is the sinus infection from HE**. It would have been the death of me to do that hike in my current condition. But, hey, I'm glad you guys had fun, and maybe one of...

A great day for the 4 Peaks Sanction (remake) Who wants to be Clint? That was a horrible flick. Apparentlly - according to the movie - Zion Canyon and Monument Valley are within spitting distance of each other. There were several fairly good climbing scenes though. But overall a waste of time. Most...

I have a doctor's appointment tomorrow morning - so if the antibiotics can do a super fast job I may even be feeling human by Saturday. And the doctor is sending me to an ENT for a consultation and possibly another sinus surgery. yea. The first one was just so much fun. Nothing like blowing bloody ...

Well, I just got hit with something I've been fighting off for 2 weeks now. A sinus infection. It's a full blown doozy as of last night - and just getting worse by the hour. This sucks. I have a doctor's appointment tomorrow morning - so if the antibiotics can do a super fast job I may even be feeli...

Actually - I'd give my eye-teeth to climb K2 and Everest. It has been a lifelong dream of mine to do those mountains. That is a completely different animal though. You're going into EXTREME environments and you have the proper gear to take care of yourself. I just don't have the right gear for this ...

Camelback has the most accessable spots - and now is a good time of year to hit them. There's a pretty good local map that you can get at REI of all the available routs. It's hand drawn, but still a good map made by climbing enthusiats. There are also a number of good routs out in Devils Canyon - bu...

Geeze, Fritzski - you're making this sound pretty hairy to do this time of year. I know you're not trying to rain on our parade - but you've certainly made me re-think if I want to do this or not. I consider myself a very skilled and experienced hiker/backpacker - and I have some skill with climbing...

Hey, like I said - you don't have to be. Download the program and give it a shot. Trust me - you'll love it once you do a couple. I've gotten everyone in my office wasting all kinds of production time making fractal images. None of them are math whizzes - or even computer whizzes for that matter. Bu...
