9 times outta 10 I'm in my 85 VW Vanagon! 
If I need more clearance say to get to Tortilla Flat or some place more rugged, I take my Toyotal 4-Runner.

Canyon Lake
We are headed out Saturday on the Second Water trail to Boulder Creek trail and then over to Canyon Lake for an overnighter. Has anyone done this recently? We are wondering about the terrain, trail, and the water level at Canyon Lake. This plots out about 6mi each way on my Topo software.

I agree with Joel. Even doing the entire Miner's Loop covers the vastness of the area with moderate terrain and great views.

Last May we hiked the Icehouse trail up and the Sixshooter Canyon down. This is outside of Globe Az on Mt. Pinal. The trail starts in a high desert area and takes you up 3000 ft through Pine and Aspen trees. At the top, is the organized campground that is usually sparse. We decided to to camp on a F...
