When were you planning this for? Are you going to go browns ---> amethyst and then loop around from below? I would suggest just doing the "dos veces" version of the motherlode instead, in fact i'd be down to join in on the madness in that case.. Its been a couple years since I tackled this...

Im almost 6 months post-op from my 3rd ACL reconstruction, so i'll have to check with the Doc.. I would love to get back out more than anything, and this sounds like a sweet trip so...

up at the parking lot for west fork of oak creek there are berries galore! I gorged for about 20 minutes after hiking, and didnt even make a dent in the bushes.

I would plan a day trip down there and just plan on going downstream as far as you feel comfortable, maybe you make it, maybe you dont.. Im sure the hike down will give you a good idea of how difficult the hike will be on the way out, considering the boulder hopping and long swims ahead of you. Just...
