Passage #7 tomorrow

Thinking about doing Passage 7 on New Years Day. Anyone been out that way recently? What can I expect? Is the trail easy to follow? Bit worried about losing my way or finishing before dark. Early morning is probably a good idea as I hike pretty slow (2.7-3 mph). Any thoughts input would be appreciat...

The only person I know that has been stung overnight by a scorpion was Outdoor Lover in her tent. ACK, if you're going to drink out of Cienega Creek def have a filter. I was there on that section of the AZT last March or so and the water was nasty. GOod in a pinch I guess but if you can hold off until Colossal Cave the water source would be MUCH better.

I would think a tent or hammock would be the best idea on the AZT. While a scorpion bite isn't fatal most of the time if you get bit by the WRONG kind it will send you to the hospital in a hurry and thus end your attempt. Class of 2013...
