I'm pretty sure we ran into each other up there. I would have mentioned something when we talked if I had thought about it.
It was rather incredible up in the mountains!

Re: Superstition Ridgeline Snow Hike
I'm planning on going up Superstition peak 5057 on Thursday from Carney spring. Perhaps we'll run into each other up there! I'm looking forward to seeing some good snow and hopefully some clouds to hike through!

Do you have any ideas on when you might get back into town? I do have plans for later in the afternoon (5ish), so that will determine if I can join or not.

Hooray! I don't think Jim will like this news though.chumley wrote:Looks like most of the moisture will be contained by the mountains but some energy will make it's way to Arizona for some good chances of rain showers for the middle of the week.

Re: Bears In The News
I've seen a few Bears, though it's been a few years since my last sighting. I saw one at Reavis charging up a hill which was pretty cool. The other's I've seen were in the White Mountains...one of which got in our campsite at night.
They are pretty awesome to see.

Re: 2014: Rain, Snow, Wind, and Sun
The past few years have been the odd ones concerning rainfall. October used to get some decent rains here. according to this http://www.usclimatedata.com/climate.php?location=USAZ0166 the average for October is over 1/2 an inch, and that average number has dropped since the past several Octobers hav...

We live in Arizona, we should be glad for the rain. Today was fantastic! Great weather with a bit of rain to keep it cool is always a plus in my book.

Apple is in the spotlight, and there's no excuse for a company like it to release software that has major problems. Almost every time apple releases an update, or new version they have some sort of issue with it. They usually fix it pretty quickly, but the following update sometimes then has its ow...

@PhilMW I don't have that camera, have a friend of a friend that does. He does a lot of Japan, China trips so gets to try a few cameras before they hit US market; he's a photo journalist. Too much dinero for me who likes to just about trash every camera I've had even when I take care of it. I have ...

FYI --Sony has come out with a 50 MP chip for I think video cameras only at this time. That's a pointless amount of pixels for video. 5 MP is more than 1080, and 18 is more than digital 4k. The only reason to have more than 20 MP would be for doing high quality prints or for freedom to crop. Anyway...

Re: What motivates you?
For me it's a few things. It's about getting away from the noise of "civilization." It's to find and explore new places. It's to live out the adventurous spirit. It's to reflect and look into my own life to see where I am in life, where I've been, and Where I'm headed.
