Questions regarding Passages 30-32

Hello HAZers :D I'm going to be spending a week on the AZT around Flagstaff starting next weekend, I had some questions I was hoping you could help me with. This will be my first time in the Flagstaff area, what is the bug situation like at the beginning of September from Mormon Lake to Mt. Elden? S...

Re: Short-Notice Fishing HAZFest

I'm curious how the trip was for you guys? I ended up heading to the Rim to help out a family member. I tried to sneak over to Woods Canyon Lake Saturday afternoon for some fishing. There had to of been about a foot of snow on the ground and it was still falling.

Multi-day backpacking trails in Payson/Pine/Sedona/Flagstaff

Can anyone recommend some good trails I can use for training during the upcoming hot months? The Superstitions have been great with so many trails to explore, but it's getting a bit too hot for me to want to do any multi-day trips out there(This weekend was a nice surprise). I've been planning a 200...

I feel for you, my backpacking partner is the king of backing out  But I don't mind solo trips.

I would join you if it was a weekend. Good luck finding someone.

Places to camp overnight in the Supes with great views

I stayed over night this weekend at the Pinyon tree overlooking Weavers Needle, waking up to that view was incredible. Anyone willing to share their favorite spots to camp in the Supes? I would prefer if they were accessible from First Water, Peralta, or Canyon Lake but I'm open to suggestions from ...

Hmm.. I have the same phone but mine often has trouble determining accuracy with the haz app. I'll have to see if I have some settings on that are causing it to do that.

My friend's son didn't end up making the hike, but a friend and I went out to check out Hackberry Spring Loop. It was amazing, thanks so much for the recommendation.

Re: Looking for an overnight hike suitable for a kid

Excellent! Thank you so much everyone.

I think I'll cruise out to Hackberry sometime this week since it was recommended a few times and check it out. But I'm going to hike everything mentioned here, so far I've only done a part of Peralta.

Looking for an overnight hike suitable for a kid

Hello HAZ! New to hiking in the area, was hoping for some help :) This past weekend a few friends and I hiked from Peralta TH to Fremont Saddle so they could show me Weaver's Needle. Fantastic weather for the hike, and Weaver's Needle was a beautiful sight. The trail was a bit crowded, but not overl...
