I'm looking to go camping this weekend and need someplace near Phoenix. I was thinking of Seven Springs but someone said that from last years fire, it's probalby all burned up. Does anyone know the status or have any other nearby suggestions?

Thanks again for all of the tips! You guys are great. One thing....my DH has an appt tomorrow am, so we won't be able to leave until 9:00 at the earliest. So say we don't get there till 11:00 or so, will we still be able to find parking? We figured we'd just take our time and make an afternoon of it...

Hi All! I'm just loving this site! We are planning a day trip out of Phoenix tomorrow, and I need a trail with water. Our dog (Jack Russell) does great in hot weather, as long as there's water. So it looks as though it's between these two. They both sound great, but Fossil Springs sounds more diffic...

This place on the rim sounds just perfect! How many people know about it? Like do you think we would have a chance of finding a place on labor day weekend?

Hi there, I just found this site and what a great place! I grew up camping but my husband did not. I'd love to start doing just some weekend trips. Problem is..he doesn't like campgrounds..at least unless they are very peaceful. Can anyone tell me a nice place, preferably some place a bit cooler?......
