I plan on hitting Superstition Ridgeline this Sunday from Siphon Draw to Carney Springs. Anyone want to tag along?

ahh..sounds like fun. my last "attempt" we dropped my car at carney then 2nd car at siphon draw. I left a few things in the 2nd car and realized 6hrs into this hike that one of the things I left was my keys! :y: We turned around and got back in the dark. Good grief...This is the one hike that I have underestimated the most in the past. It's always tougher than I expect. Have fun!!! I'd like to join but will be in Flag this weekend.

How long would you expect this hike to take? I'd love to tag along, but I don't think it's something my 3 and 9 y/o's would be able to handle, so I would have to organize someone to watch them ( wife will be at school ) and I'd probably also need a ride ( wife at school ).

This will be in the range 7-10 hours depending how things go. This is not one to take lightly, it will be a long day.

What TH are we starting from? Inside the state park means entrance fees for multiple cars. Jacob's Crosscut would be free and a nice warm-up stroll. I'm down for whatever but thought I would mention the option. :) I'm stoked to get my butt kicked on this one!

McKellips TH is a nice option for the ridgeline. It's rough but Denny got his low riding Focus in without issue.

The McKellips TH looks like a winner. I am not familiar with Jacobs Crosscut, if it is closer then we can use it vs. McKellips.

Maybe this idea will help. I did the route from Heiroglyphics TH to Siphon Draw last year. My friend and I drove two vehicles out to Lost Dutchman. I paid the $7.00 fee for one car on the honor system before the booth operator had arrived. Parked the car there and hopped in my friends truck. We drove back to a grocery store at Idaho and Apache Trail where we met our two other hikers. We all hopped in one car and drove to the Heiro TH and did the Ridgeline hike back to Siphon Draw. Afterwards, I drove everyone back to their cars (2 waiting at the grocery store and the other we had left at Heiro). The Idaho Rd/Apache Trail corner is a good pivot point, as it is along the way in either direction.
This is my gym. I have to travel down a bumpy road to get there. There are no treadmillls, no machines, and no personal trainers. I walk..I run..I breathe the fresh air. I can go any time I want, as much as I want and there is no membership fee.

Jacob's is on First Water road but definitely farther than McKellips. McKellips works for me.
