Arizona Trail event in Page- Saturday, May 4th

This Saturday, May 4th from 10-3 the Antelope Point Marina is hosting a summer kickoff dock party to celebrate Page as a Gateway Community of the Arizona Trail!

Join us on the docks for Live Music, BBQ, Booths, Raffle Prizes, Stand Up Paddleboard and Wakeboard Demo’s in the Waterpark, Food & Drink Specials

Sign up for an interpretive hike on the Arizona Trail from the Stateline Trailhead at the Utah border, call 928-645-5900, ext 5064 to register for the hike. Shuttle service available to the trailhead from the marina. Hope to see you there!

In the past few days I have talked with and/or heard of several NoBo's passing through the Canyon. Almost done.

That's so great, lots of thru-hikers this year, more than I've ever heard of!

I arrived in Page today for the event at Antelope Point Marina tomorrow and the weather is absolutely delightful! Looking forward to taking some folks out to the Stateline Trailhead for a hike. Meet at the Visitor's Center at Antelope Point- 533 Marina Pkwy in Page at 10am for shuttle service to the trailhead. There will be all sorts of activities on the docks and live music from 10-3 and a raffle to benefit the Arizona Trail Association with great prizes!

There is a detour because Highway 89 is still closed from the road collapse earlier this year. http://goo.gl/maps/FE6Pc it adds about 45 minutes to the travel time. Totally worth it once you're up here, this is a really unique part of the state.
