Who is up for a 51 mile thru hike of the Highline Trail #31 that runs along the base of the Mogollon Rim. There is a car shuttle needed and its best to start at the 260 t.h. and go West to the Pine t.h.
I have done this in 2 days, it is quite possible but 3 days is easier on yer dogs. Some interesting things to see along this trail and it has several perennial water sources, temps in mid April to be in the 70/30 range. A food drop might make it easier if there are going to be a larger turnout, which Im hoping for. What do YOU think?
All of those cracks you saw under my feet turned into blisters

In response to matt gilbert's reply: You obviously didn't read any of our triplogs. We didn't make it that far. We bailed out at Washington Park, and hitched a ride to the Pine Trailhead. We'll have to check out your handiwork another time.

sorry to hear that the it didn't go as planned. Me and a buddy were thinking of doing this trip (in three days though, not two). But I think you just talked me out of that! Glad you all made it back alive and well(-ish).
In response to matt gilbert's reply: Don't let me discourage you! I'm just a puss!
I might see you at the store real soon. I think I need an item or 2 for my 2nd upcoming hiking failure...the Cactus to Clouds hike in CA. See you soon!

Don't let us talk you out of it, a 3 day trip is muuuuch more feasible then our 2 day attempt. The mileage and terrain just don't allow for a 2 day, there's just not enough time in the day. No more 2 day attempts for me, I'll do it in 3 next time.
(Not to mention we had 2-3 hours of snow followed by rain off an on all day, which was unexpected and quite demoralizing...)

OK. Ritz did a crappy job of developing my pics and putting them on a disc. I guess I'll post some anyway, but they are super-grainy. I'm not sure if it's from the shoddy developing, or if that's what I get from a Fuji disposable. I upgraded to a disposable with a flash though...you know, the high-end disposable. I'm dissapointed.

Maybe the camera was in as crappy shape as we were at the end of the hike
