Phoenix area winter camping/hiking ideas with kids?

Post by azdesertfather »

A friend of mine and I are going to take our 6-year-old boys on their first camping experience next month. We can't do anything needing 4WD, but hope to have something not crowded, not to far from Phoenix, and most importantly someplace the kids might really enjoy. I'm not used to thinking "kid-friendly/fun"...what do you all suggest?

I don't think I'd recognize him without the costume.

Oh, he has another costume when he's out with the boys...blue jeans, and that trademark hat all but gives him away! :D
