Re: Catalina State Park to the ski area in March?
i prefer saturdays just because i need a day to wind down before work starts back up or it gives me a day before Monday to get things in order at work [for work].
almost any weekend is good with the exception of the next two weekends.

I second the preference for doing it on a Saturday. I have a wedding to go to on 3/7.

March 21st sounds like a great date. At least that's my vote.

21st and 28th work for me. Now for the fun of setting up a shuttle of some sort. That is going to be the real obstacle unless y'all are up for a 25-miler.

I can "legally" fit five in my Rover...I should really consider getting the jump seats. I can park at the fire station the night before, I'm pretty sure. The other two could squeeze in the back with the packs and no belts (=bad idea) or we'll need another vehicle up top...

Re: Catalina State Park to the ski area in March?
Have fun guys, I new the chances of a weekend working out for me were slim anyways. I do want to checkout the sutherland trail though before I leave. Yeah that shuttle is a pain though. When I did it last time we were lucky enough to have a friend in Tucson drop off his truck the night before at the ski area and get a ride back into town. Then he just met us at the TH in the AM. Even doing it that way it's still a good 1 1/2 hours from the time you finish your hike till you get back to your cars.

Re: Catalina State Park to the ski area in March?
2/28 is bad for me but 3/28 also works with my schedule. We'd better hit the mountain early to avoid the heat, though the trail being on the westside should help with that.

Shall we agree on the 21st? The 28th also works for me. Anyone?
