I noted the East Valley Tribune had an article on Monday regarding thieves who are stealing or breaking into cars in the Phoenix Metro area. I have not had this problem yet. Has anyone ? What steps can you take to not become a victim/target. I have been going into Scottsdale once a week to ride Indian Bend bike route.

 Surely you jest. Haven't you ever driven a Jeep Wrangler? The machine that won WWII, etc etc.
C'mon, Hooli, back me up on this!

HEY!! I figured out how to do a quote!

It may have won the war, and I'm sure Hooli's is cute, but it takes a back seat to the older 4runners....look around next time you are at a trailhead, or REI, or FLAG, or Colorado...the older model 4runners are the vehicle of choice...the newer versions are yuppie mobiles...but the older ones can't be beat.

(this post is not meant in any way to offend the owner's of Chrysler or Jeep vehicles, I don't even own a 4runner either)

George

How aggrevating, sorry to hear about your vehicle. I know what you mean about Pinal County tho, I just got done dealing with their court system for a client who stiffed us, it was downright comical.

Toyota 4Runners - HAhahaha! Well, I suppose they're OK if you can't quite swing a Jeep. I guess SOMEone's got to drive them. Probably guys with small caliber guns.

See...and I heard that guys who drive jeeps with big tires and play with guns are over-compensating for what THEY might be lacking...

Did anybody catch the newscast lastnight about trailhead break-ins...I think it was on 12. The interviewer was talking with people at the Echo Canyon Trailhead....interviewed a guy who leaves his truck unlocked and the keys in the glovebox....they even showed his truck. Don't think I'd be leaving it that way again for awhile...

I think they kinda missed the fact that the breakins have been occurring on Invergorden.
