Oh the ChxFriedChx boy slipped in... maybe I'll slip in and do the enjoyable canyon hike up while the rest of you scratch the boring trail off Chris' "gotta do ever trail list" TWICE when you could take the beautiful canyon up and the trail with views down. I'll hike down with the group and tell you what you missed.

Hey Joe, I went to Del Taco the other day and couldn't remember for the life of me what it is you order. Was it the dolphin burro with green sauce or the cute little kitten taco with cilantro?

I'm thinking of breaking out the Joe Walsh's Greatest Hits for the ride up. Any requests or preferences for those brave enough to ride with me are welcome. :wrt:

Are you saying take Pine Canyon to Parsnip Springs and then take the creek up or take the canyon all the way from 87 north of the TH? This is sounding pretty good! I might opt to tag along on this branch, too. Should we battle for the route in Chris' driveway Sunday morning? HAZ decisions made Thunderdome style! :scared:

@Jim Lyding

I don't have that one. if you bring it along I'll pop it in the CD deck.

I'm staying on the trail regardless of what everyone else does. I'm a fan of trails and not a fan of Joe's bushwhacks. Or bushwhacks in general for that matter. I think everyone will probably make their decision at Parsnip Spring as to whatever they want to do. We'll all end up back at the same TH and I know I'll have a set of car keys.

I'm sensing a challenge between the 2 factions...
One that won't hike outside the box, and another that doesn't know a box exists! :whistle: :STP: :STP:

I only like bushwhacking if there's a substantial amount of New Mexico locust. It just wouldn't seem right without it

Yep that's the ticket to shade, paradise and DEEP POOLS... in the shallow sense of deep anyhow

@coanbru no challenge, any time spent hiking with Chris is time well spent. If anyone wants to join in on the side excursion it should be fun. It's not a difficult canyon, rather more of a pleasant side trip. I can explain the option on the hike in for anyone interested.

Everyone better join in or you might not see Chris until February!

I still have my Sept. 5 hike up to Milk Ranch Pt and down the Webber trail and back on the Highline. After that it's only hiking on bye weeks and night games. And then there's that 2nd surgery I have to have in November to get the plate taken out of my shoulder... :roll:

so... who's dragging the keg up the trail? I think it's mandatory at this point. We seem to be going for the record of most HAZers on a single trail. :)
