Join me for Salt River Rafting for my 60th!!!!
Posted: Mar 01 2013 4:06 pm
I'm going down the river again, this time it's the Salt. The event is my 60th birthday on March 23rd. The very first time I went down a river was on my 50th birthday, and it was on the Salt River!
I do this the easy but expensive way. I go with an outfitter. They run paddle rafts, supply a good BBQ and salad lunch along the way (at a camp) and also supply helmet, wetsuit, neoprene booties and splash jacket. Any of you who would like to join me are welcome. You do not have to know a thing about river running.
The company is Raft the Salt. For videos and info look at their website http://www.raftthesalt.com I like this company. I like their guides and the way they do business.
The cost is about $148 including tribal fees, lunch, shuttle, taxes, etc. Not included is the tip for the guide which I insist everyone bring. I advise about $20 per person cash on the day of the trip for the tip.
What to do: Send me a private message if you are definitely interested. Other basic questions we can talk about in this forum. I know there are some of you who do private trips on the Salt, and it's a lot cheaper. I already know that, so we don't have to discuss that. Yes, prices have gone up. Okay, that's life.
I really hope some of you would like to join me! Let's talk about it here, and send me a pm if you think you might like to go, and I will give you the rest of the information you will need when you call them.
