My friend and I came upon a tortoise flipped on its back once. He flipped it over. Boy was the tortoise mad with that and hissed at him something fierce.

It can be pretty miserable if you need lip balm and don't have any. I've never canceled a hike because of it, but I have uttered a pumpkin or two upon realizing it!

You gotta protect your lips by any means necessary.
