Just came back from the Supes. Drove out as far as the second wash after the entrance to the First Water Road. I drove through both of the washes in my 2002 Suzuki Grand Vitara barely but I doubt that they will be slowing down anytime soon. Lots of lakes out there in the desert and it's beginning to look like Minnesota! :o Stopped at Quick Trip on the way back and they were out of Gas! :scared:

@chumley
And you probably don't have to worry about lightning today as a bonus!

I took the bus to work (State Capital area), and an hour later got a message saying, "...use your best judgement in deciding whether or not to come to the office today."

DANG!

Sometimes, being the early bird, just doesn't pay!

Our Superintendent is gutless:

"while school remains open, we encourage parents to keep students home if able. Thank you and be safe."

Not a single kid in my classroom. Hopes for hiking dashed.

1.5 inch at my place in Payson. I was up at 3 am and checking the weather was thinking of making a run to the valley for a storm photo trip.

4.5 inches at my house between 2 AM and 7 AM. I expect to see 6 inches in the rain gage when I get home from work.

I witnessed one kayaker, 2 dudes in a blow up boat, and some kids sliding down a makeshift slip-n-slide into the flowing Thunderbird park at Greenway and 67th Ave

The road to Peralta was a muddy mess this morning. Very slick and 4wd a must. The washes were running but not dangerously. By afternoon, the rain had stopped and the road had begun to dry out. By tomorrow, you might even be able to get a sedan out there again if you don't mind a few big puddles (lakes?) and some serious mud.
