===========

So I went to this squirrel party and met a few HAZers.. I want to know when we all are getting together for some camping event. Not to mentiom; it's about time our friend AZPride takes a rope to the top.. How about Cochise?! -- hiking maybe climbing, car camping in style? (My car camping still includes cooking on a fire and sleeping in a tent.)

Might need to get Ensign Harding to verify that...

I saw some pictures on the site whose name shall not be spoken. So it happened. :)

Sounds like a good time. Anxiously awaiting details.

I'll always vote for something south of Tucson - driving through Phoenix is getting to be akin to torture. BIG campfires are always the benefit of car camping activities!

Stronghold trail sounds interesting. Not sure if I'll have that day off, though.

I'm in. I have very little camping gear, but I'll make do with what I have and improvise if I have to. Kinda like I do with the hiking. :)

And I'll take the day off, just give me a time, date, and location asap, so I can reserve the vacation day..... :GB:

Always wanted to check out Cochise - sounds cool. Campfires and some brews keep the cold at bay...at least until the morning

I got the firewood last weekend. Who's in charge of brews? :y:

If we're locked in on the dates, I may be able to make this gig... I'll need to cancel my Death Valley trip over New Year's 'cuz there's no way the wife will let me do both! Heck, she may just tell me to stay in Arizona (keeping my fingers crossed...)!

I think we are pretty set on the dates, except perhaps if there's a major winter storm that weekend. I would say that the actual camping location is still up for debate. Cochise could possibly be too high and cold. There are some lower desert options available but that can be decided a bit later on.

Can one possibly ever be too high? <OOPS who said that?> OK I digress.......It may a tad chilly or snowy so maybe a plan B should be in effect. As long as I'm not freezing I'm cool with the chilly temps. Less than 20 degrees is not my comfort zone but I fit nicely in the back of my X-terra. This is the one cool thing about being vertically challenged.

Event is currently Sat-Sun. Not sure why Monday is needed off? Unless you play on outdrinking te-wa 2 to 1?
