Which is better, orange marmalade, or whiskey?

I have probably heard them all!
Oliver99, that sounds like a good plan. Maybe you should hang a HAZ sign on the back of your pack!
How about Flat Stanley on my pack?

Well, apparently, Jim likes to sleep in, and I have a 200 mile drive, so I guess those are other reasons to not start super early. Plus, he says it will be pretty cold if we start too early.

Well, unless Joe can make a strong case for us to start earlier (like 7am), I think the remaining 4 of us are fine with a leisurely 9am start. Shall we say 9am-ish? I'll try to be there at that time.

I'm glad that I'm not the only Jim who has a problem with timing. I'll be 15 minutes late to my own funeral!

Oh don't plan around me. Go with what works for you. I'm mostly interested in going cause I haven't hiked with George in SEVEN years and would like to meet oliverr99 & azbackpackr
If it doesn't work out there will be other hikes.

Hi, I'm new to hiking but I have been trying to get out 2-4 times a week at least... I'm a little intimidated by all you experienced hikers but this sounds like a nice hike and I'd like to give it a try. I don't know people willing to hike with me in the Summer and I just discovered this page with the events. Let me know if its ok for me to tag along... Thanks! Looking forward to hearing back from you!

It seems like you should be alright to come. Click the "update" button under the committed column to add your name to the list up top and come out. If you're in the low desert you might consider coming up the previous day as the start time is now set for 9am.

No Joe, I think. I don't know if this new girl is coming either. Either way, there will still be at least 5 of us? Peak X, anyone?

If there's time, I'm game. I'd like to be back to the TH by 3:30ish, which would be pushing it unless we make fast work of Humphrey.

Sounds fine to me. I've been a slug so far this year but if I'm not wiped out by the altitude I'll hit a second peak. I don't know which one is X but I don't really need to know either.

Dress warm everyone. Wednesday it should be in the 50s and breezy.

You've been in the valley too long if layers are a fun idea.
