Re: Bighorns being released into the Catalinas
This is almost a year old but I was surprised to learn 43 mountain lions killed in Aravaipa-Galiuro Hunt Area in the last few years:

@mazatzal
Complicated. I generally support hunting. Unfortunately we have to trust that AZGFD makes wise decisions on tag quantities in specific geographic areas based on current populations and does so without being influenced by outside interests. I think I'd have to read an awful lot to have any kind of educated opinion since the little that has been published is probably influenced by people with very strong opinions on one side of the issue or the other.

I'm not sure what my spirit animal is, but I'm confident it has rabies.

I agree except I think AZGFD is being lobbied and influenced by others. It's too bad they can't just do their job.

Re: Bighorns being released into the Catalinas
Spotted another one! This time a collared female walking the Finger Rock Trail. I saw her tracks for about 1 mile down the trail. I ran into her coming up the trail at a distance of no more than 50 feet. She turned and ran as soon as I spotted her, and her me.
