We had two separate lost/scared dogs show up in the Park last night during the fireworks, one with an injury. So now we are stuck with them until tomorrow when animal control opens (WHY are they closed during 4th of July weekend?!) ... both have a collar, but no tags (WHY bother with a collar if you're not going to add ID?) ... I posted about them on FB last night, but no one has come looking for them yet! Fireworks suck, and so do irresponsible pet owners.

Oh no, Joe our esteemed leader and master cat wrangler has allowed it to live in another form. Where as mine generally get sent to the locked room. Which is not necessarily a bad thing. We must think of the children.

I have to say he is the first person I ever knew that was in the Federal Witless Protection Program. Then I joined this group.

Basically three choices:

Soooo today's color will be red. We all know this is the time of year to dodge doves and the other day one failed to pull up in time and WHAM! We were in the FJ and this dove hit square in the center of the grill/hoodline and well our windshield now looked like something from a Stephen King movie. My wife and I put out a collective OMFG! The windshield was now an homage to Jackson Pollock, feathers, chunks and lots of red. We commented that we didn't think there was that much to a dove. Well the next morning I decided to wash the FJ, something I've put off in since Sept. of 2012. Right away I saw the reason for the blood and guts and volume.....our white wing friend had gorged himself on saguaro fruit, hence all the red and seed chunks. The downside is I don't want to drive on any dirt roads now and get the truck dirty.
