This is newsworthy to hikers and anyone who has enjoyed the Spur Cross Ranch Recreation Area or use it as we do as an entrance into the Tonto National Forest.

Thx for sharing. Interesting about the 1/2 cent sales tax diversion after it paid for Spur Cross. Technically it should have ended once the purchase was complete thus it seems reasonable to divert it long enough to pay for Harmony Hollow. And I'm all for making money but it seems the owners of Harmony Hollow could work with the Preservation and drop that price a bit too.

After careful consideration Sun City Northeast Mano Shuffleboard Preserves might suffice

@tibber
The original purchase was from a property tax levy that lasted 8 years. When that had it's 'sunset' the council voted in the 1/2 cent sales tax for maintenance of Spur Cross and the trails. A later progressive "slate" that became the new council is now using that money for other projects...i.e: removing most all of the desert medians throughout the town core parkway area and covering most natural areas within 150' of businesses with black asphalt for dust abatement. Cave Creek used to be a red neck conservative horse town. After the 2008 economic crash Canadians purchased much of the real estate in the town core and drastically changed the 'climate' of the town . We are now officially "Woke".
