Zion hiker lost and found: Something doesn't add up

When the story broke that a missing female hiker had been found after nearly two weeks "lost" in Zion, there was also a GoFundMe set up by her family that was racking up the bucks. I thought I smelled a rat right away. I said something about my suspicions in another venue. I said I thought it was a GoFundMe scam. And, of course, most of the do-gooders shot me down. Turns out that the SAR folks there are VERY suspicious about this woman as well:

While I am glad she is found; I too when I read that given the time and her condition thought BS over the whole thing.

Reminds me of an older story, guy got lost on his way to day hike Mt Lemmon I think it was, had to drink his own pee, was lost less than a mile or two of his car.

Even though they now admit that she intended an extended stay rather than a dayhike, it still doesn't add up.
