Giveaway: A slightly broken backpack (2019 Baltoro 65)

My previous 2019 model Gregory Baltoro 65 broke on one side of the hip belt suspension system.

It bothers me to throw it away since it's otherwise in good shape. The fabric hip belt itself still works and the pack still carries a load. (Albeit not as well as before the suspension broke.)

Maybe you're cleverer/more industrious than I am and can fix it? (I could see drilling out/grinding off the pivot rivets, fiberglassing the hard suspension part and rivnutting the pivots back.)

Or maybe there are parts that a backpacker can cannibalize?

Anyway, PM me if you want to pick it up.

(Eyeballs and shoulder strap pocket not included.)

A lot of these companies allow you to send the item back to them and they will repair it for a small cost, or sometimes even replace the whole thing. Have you looked into that? I know that Thermarest (Cascade Designs) is amazing. I have not bought a new Thermarest in over a decade although I've popped several of them. If you find out you are able to do that you probably need to wash it in the bathtub before sending.

Thanks. Yes, I called Gregory about a repair and they replaced my back with a newer model replacement.

Here's my review of my newer pack.

Ok, I get it! You didn't have to send it back, so you still have it to offer to someone who might like to have it. I'm glad they replaced it for you! :)
