A new and expanded edition of "Boots and Burgers" by Roger Naylor is now out. New trails from around the state and their associated burger spots are discussed in some detail. One of his new favorites is Big Earls Greasy Eats here in Cave Creek paired with the Go John Trail. Something in Spur Cross might have been a better choice but it's his book. :) Hugh Norris Trail paired with El Guero Canelo in Tucson is another new addition. 70 hikes and burgers from Marble Canyon to the Mexican border area are included. He says he found a favorite but I guess one has to buy the book to find out.

@LosDosSloFolks Hugh Norris is not so much a trail as it is an unnecessary staircase, so it seems reasonable to pair it with a burger place that doesn't actually have a burger on the menu. :-k

Hey Greg,
I hiked the ones in the original book. I got a copy of this one last week or so. Some of the restaurants are interesting just by location from the hike. I agree though it’s his choices . lol
I think I’m gonna try and do them with my oldest grandson if he is game. lol
Naylor’s favorite is Wineburger but they are 21 and older and don’t do takeout so I will have to figure out something for my grandson.

I was amazed when I saw Harvey's Wineburger. I just assumed they closed a long time ago. I used to eat there in the 80's!
