Does anyone know if paintball guns are legal to use on state trust land? I'm pretty sure it's not. I'm looking for the ARS or law stating it.

I have played with a bunch of police officers that felt it was not a problem. I do not think that they were positive, but they never had a problem with it ( i know that does not make it legal though ).

The paint is water soluable and disolves usually after the first good rain. I have also played for a few years up on mnt lemon with the same guys. We spoke with the rangers about it a couple of times and they never had a problem with it either. The rangers only concern was that we did not accidently hit a hiker, which we obviously took great precaution against.

The last one is for a permit to be on state trust land with a group but you can see the restrictions on activies include no paint ball games.

Thanks for sharing those sites Dschur, I learned a couple of things; it is illegal to fire paint balls on State Trust Land and it is illegal to hike with cattle and antelope on State Trust Land without a permit. :rollH:

I do remember one time at the Woodchute trailhead after hiking, a SUV load of young men showed up, parked, got out all decked up in the latest camo outfit, grabbed their paintball gear, and after a brief conversation headed into the trees. I did not feel to concerned about this activities, I found it somewhat humorous, another form of male bonding I guess.
