Passing the peak I see a billboard for Save the Peak - NO Rail Yard

I saw some smaller signs like that in November. Considering the constant bumper-to-bumper traffic on I-10 and the unbridled growth of Casa Grande, I don't think the rail yard would make much difference in the long run.

Pinal County Board of Supervisors voted to allow the railroad to build a large rail yard complex alongside the freeway opposite Picacho Peak State Park.
Pinal County Board of Supervisors also allowed them build and its now running landfill north of the above area at the site of Deepwell Ranch.
Pinal County Board of Supervisors is endorsing a landfill SE of Florence Jct near Box Canyon.

OK I had heard that the railyard thing was a dead issue, that it hadn't passed. You guys certain you have the latest info?
