A Californian in Sedona looking for some info

We are coming to the Sedona area to do some backpacking in mid-June. Trying to find an area with reliable water for a 3 day/2 night trip. A couple of the people have limited experiance with a pack on, but everyone is in good physical shape.

Most of my time is spent in the Sierra Nevada's, so I am really looking forward to this trip for a little variety. Just wish we had more time.

Any ideas would be appreciated, and if you are ever heading to California I can give you some great places.

Arizona is currently experiencing dry conditions that haven't even been recorded in history, ever! A majority of the state is closed. However there are some areas open if you look hard enough.

Actually, a decent handful around Sedona...

Confirming what Teva Joe said, most of us have had to shrug and admit that there's not going to be much in the way of good hiking until we get some heavy monsoon rains to lessen the fire hazard. This whole state is a tenderbox right now.
