White Tank Mountains

I was wondering if any of the trails listed under White Tank Mountains go to the summit? I could not tell from the discriptions. Might try with a friend to hike there. It is between those and Browns Peak which is my first choice.
Thank you.

I just found the answer that the goat trail takes you to the summit. I am still learning how to get all the great info on this site.

White tanks radio summit is one of the best hikes near the valley imo. Just make sure to go early this time of year as it's damn hot.

All the park issued maps that I have say under no circumstances even approach the radio towers.
There is a trail that summits one of the lesser peaks on the north end of the park. A four wheel drive or high clearance will save you a few miles on the approach. It's a great hike, your not likely to see a soul at any time of the year. Topos of the area show both the approach roads and trail proper.
If your looking for a bigger peak bag close to Phoenix I would recommend the McDowells. I've done the four major and then some. Tom's Thumb and the Ogre's Den are Awesome. I've got Beta if you're interested.

Thanks for the info. Abbey what is Beta? I have done McDowell Mt, it was great and look forward to the rest of them. We did Brown's peak and got to the top but almost quite do to the steep trail. I will get to the White Tanks soon. I knew Tom's thumb was there but not Oger's Den. Will check that out. Again thank you for the replies.
