I've been interested in checking off another chunk of the Highline Trail...I've done See Canyon TH to 260 TH, but want to do everything else west of See Canyon TH. Mostly, I think what would be ideal is somewhere within a couple of hours drive tops from Phoenix so the heat won't be totally unbearable (100 or less)

Kendrick loop day hike - Friday, July 31
OK, I'm seeing a lot of people posting interest in Friday hikes...in addition to myself and a few buddies who also have Fridays off oftentimes. Let's give it a shot...who's in for a day hike on Friday the 31st? Post interest here, and places of interest.

I might go depend on what you choose. The Highline is better suited for mountain biking IMO.

Re: Day hike: Friday, July 31
I'm pretty flexible, as long as it's cool. Kendrick would be fine with me

Hmmm. That sounds interesting. We would leave the Valley at what time? If I don't work I might be up for this. No running,Right?

Re: Day hike: Friday, July 31
It looks like the Kendrick loop is hitting a nerve, I'll label it that. That's going to be 5-6 hours driving, so how early should we meet, 4/5am?

I am ready.
One suggestion, let’s drive up Thursday night, and start hiking early AM.

Re: Kendrick loop day hike | Friday, July 31
This will be one tough hike. 18-19 miles plus AEG approaching 6k in altitude... and to top it all off scarce sources of water along the way. be prepared... I'm bringing my new Golite umbrella... this way it won't rain
