There are petroglyphs near the Baby Jesus Trail in the Catalinas, but I can't find any descriptions of where they are located. Anybody got some insight? PM me if you're not comfortable posting their whereabouts on the web. I have hiked most of this trail a couple of years ago, but don't remember anything that would point to where the petroglyphs are. Thanks!

Oh, what the heck...I'll just post it. I doubt it's any kind of state secret since I found out from a guide book years ago:

They're about 2 miles in from where Golder Ranch road becomes a jeep trail east of Oracle road. Basically, you go our Golder Ranch Road from Oracle and cross the cattle guard. Park at the Catalina State Park fence line (Buy a day pass!!) Continue through the gate and up an old jeep road that heads to the north. This road will intersect Sutherland wash, drop into the wash at this point and follow it until the formal State Park boundary appears to your right. There should be a noticeable path here to follow over that fence and into another small wash. This wash takes to you most of them. There is a side path that is marked by a cairn that goes to a petroglyph that looks like a large nipple on a boulder, but the majority of them are further up the wash on the boulders along its edges. Look for a number of large, multi-arm saguaro and you'll find the center of the field in the rocks beneath. It's been almost fifteen years since I was in there but I remember the path being easy to follow and a lot of cairns marking the way. I think this is a popular hike with the retiree-crowd.

I added 0-9 to the alpha index so Nick's 50 Year Baby Jesus Trail is accessible now.
