Grand Wash Cliffs

I am looking into going and checking out the Grand Wash Cliffs, specifically the area south and east of Meadville. Maps claim the area to be BLM land. I cant seem to find any info about that area on here, so I thought i'd ask. My topo shows a few roads going up to the top, but no trails. Anyone have any input on the area? I put this in the "Looking for a hike" section rather than the Grand Canyon forum. Please move it mods if im wrong. Thanks!

You'll want to get with PageRob on that one. He'd know.

Actually I don't have much experience that far west on the Strip. It is pretty much all BLM land though. Real rough and relatively unvisited.

Thats why I wanna check it out! Its not part of the arizona strip tho, its south of the Colorado, northeast of dolan springs.

Oh! I thought you were talking about the northern section of the GWC where we used to have a condor release site.
I've never been anywhere near Dolan Springs at all, so I really wouldn't know. Maybe one of the Flagstaffians?

There are a few rough roads out there to the GWC - similar to the bone-jarring road to Toroweap, but less maintained.
No trails that I know of, but plenty of off-trail hiking opportunities.
I've mostly hiked around below the cliffs, and in a lot of the Strip to the west, so no idea about the possibilities of water, etc.
