Bear Mt. Thanksgiving Saturday hike

Well, we're definitely ON/GO for a HAZ hike up Bear Mountain near Sedona on the Saturday after Thanksgiving. As of August 24 these Hardy Hazites have said they are interested in going:
ck1, Steven, GTG. Sande J, Paintninaz, Mike, Mike t, azhiker96, nealz, and olesma. GREAT!
We deleted the poll because Saturday was clearly a unanimous choice.
Besides a great hike on a pretty good trail, Bear Mtn also offers four other "perks:"
First, there's ample, safe parking at the Bear Mtn. TH. This will be nice so people can meet with each other before and after the hike with plenty of "elbow room."
Second, the Bear Mtn. hike route provides numerous natural "resting" spots that will be nice places for HAZites to stop and hang out for a water break or a snack spot.
Third, there's a wide variety of views on the Bear Mtn hike. Bear Mtn. shows off most of the Verde Valley and a big chunk of the Sedona cliffs and headlands.
Fourth, there's a real nice spot at the top where everybody can have lunch. Nice view of the SF Peaks off in the distance. Hopefully, they will be snow-capped by then.
We will update the above tentative roster periodically so, if you're interested, just tak on a reply at the bottom of this topic. THANKS!
