My Grand Canyon trip with the family last weekend.

We went up to Flagstaff on Friday via Prescott, Mingus Mountain, Jerome, Cottonwood, Sedona etc.
I gave 'em the GTG dollar tour. We went on up to the canyon on Saturday morning.
I took the family up for the non-hiking visit to the south rim.
It was cloudy and rainy last Saturday at the canyon. 09/07/02
There was fog and rain for a good portion of the day, when we got there we couldn't even see the canyon at all. The rain would stop and start and the fog was blowing around like mad. Sometimes down to 100 ft visibility.
Then it would slack off and we could see it. My pictures don't do it justice.

Another cool note of the day was that we saw the Mangums there too.

Even the best of us hikers can act like a tourist at the canyon.

Todd, I'd say that was way more than the $1 tour. You took them on an awesome overview of Arizona and I'm sure it made them want to move here. Love the pic's too. Borrowed one for my desktop....Thanks for sharing.

I snitched the fourth picture of Indian Gardens and the Battleship for my background (removed the Havasu one I have had for awhile).

Wonderful Pictures

Great job Todd.

Get plenty of 'memory' for our hike in October. I've got about a Gig worth of compact flash cards....
I'm also going to be 'trialing' a solar battery charger for the camera's LiIon batteries. It works in the backyard..... :)

Nice of you to take your people on that tour....
