maricopa peak

san juan road is open this coming weekend
thought i would see if there is any interest in hiking up maricopa peak via alta trail
6.44 miles, 1864 aeg round trip

start time at bajada trailhead 10:00
i realize this might be a little late for some people as it's supposed to be 81 degrees saturday
this is the earliest i can get there on a saturday
anyone is welcome to join me
plenty of time left in the day to watch football or attend the tempe festival of the arts

it's not a difficult hike at all
the trail can be somewhat rocky

@trekkin gecko Doctor's orders, no uneven terrain or uphill for 3 weeks...forced onto light duty at work, not even allowed to handle large dogs...I know the hike well, I can handle it easy but I'd rather not risk turning the ankle and ripping the ligaments even further. I have big plans once I'm healed up.

have to cancel on this event
can't be assured of making the start time
never know when i will get off work for the next month
cuts into my recreational time
