What would be the recommended procedure (using TrailDEX and/or MapDEX) to obtain a listing of the latest "Goldfield Mountains" Hike Descriptions now on HAZ?
(I first tried using TrailDEX to limit my search, but I could not figure out how to limit to the Goldfields, then I tried MapDEX and was eventually able to come-up with this link--> http://hikearizona.com/map.php?QX=2386 , but I'm not sure if this link completely answers my question)

Since the Goldfields are not a core listing (FS, NPS, WA, Region, etc...) it would need to be a special HAZ Mapped Area. There are two ways to provide me the info to create an area.

- send me a comma separated list of the description ZTN identification numbers
- trace a track around an area in Route MGR

I have the book, Hiking the Goldfields by Ted Tenny. He list all the arches as well as points of interest. The way Ted writes leaves some question for those of us without GPS. After a search for an arch is not successful, I have enlisted a friend with a GPS to locate the arch. After I've found it and reread Ted's description, it usually makes sense. Ted does list GPS points for all the arches and landmarks in the book. I find the Goldfields have some great hikes, the best so far has been Triple Arch via Black Glass Canyon which is featured on the hikearizona.com website. If you check my photosets, you will find"Arches of the Goldfields" that pictures the arches I have found to date. It is a lot of fun searching for them. Good Luck! jameslcox44
