If you like Guiness beer...bring one. If you like any beer bring one. You can also toast with whatever you want.
Its a short hike to celebrate and toast our friend John Rodney Scott.

@Widowmaker
On the top of this page, it gives the date and link to the description. It is Scott Mountain Summit and it will be April 27th.

I have plans to be out of town that weekend, but I'll put a check in the interested column for now just in case plans change.

Also interested in helping John finish up his
wish list. Not necessarily immediately, if anyone has interest in those please post up some events. I'm available Sunday & Mondays, possibly Fridays.

@joe bartels
Very cool...I don't have an official wish list. But a couple of those are on it..The eagletail mountains caught my eye seeing them from Saddle mountain.

I really wanted to do this but my broken ankle change that. Then again just maybe I can heal enough.

If you heal enough for something really short by then and you'd still like to do it, maybe I can chauffeur you up to the point it would be more palatable... barely a half-mile, 300' AEG summit round-trip.
FYI, although Rockadoodledude didn't exactly care for the 'road' around Scott Mountain, I've driven it enough times it's old-hat to me.

I was really hoping to make this. But today I got the first cast of my life and was told that I will have for at least two weeks.

So the plan will be to meet in Fountain Hills at 8am...I will send out a pm to all those committed next week. I will have room for 3 more people in my vehicle. The other meet time will be 9am at the Peeley trailhead.
I will donate $10 per person to the Childrens Crisis Center of Mesa (a favorite of Johnr1) for each person who shows up. In addition, I will also donate $10 to HAZ for each person who shows up.

Dad said I could come along on this one.
I'm making sure he donates $10 for me even though he said "per
person" in his offer. [-X
