for all you bird folks out there--

the new edition of The Sibley Guide to Birds is out and we're doing an event with David Allen Sibley on 4/7/14. Its free and open to the public though there's a preferred seating deal if you purchase the book through Changing Hands. Its a fantastic guide and beautifully illustrated. This is a rare chance to meet someone like David and great opportunity to meet other birders. Here's the event info:

Owl. Falcon. Hawk. Eagle. Doesn't matter if you know what it is or not. All of them are delicious.

I've heard that mesquite bark is more palatable.

I would consider going, but I'll be gone...For all of you non-Birder's, Sibley's is pretty much the Birding Bible these days....Pretty cool that you got David to come in.... :)

I saw two Bald Eagles last week in the Columbia River gorge, both soaring into the wind at fairly close range, apparently fishing.
