How difficult is the route finding up Picketpost? Thinking of taking the family up over Christmas break.

It may be difficult to follow for beginners to hiking on a slow day or out alone.
Knowing to keep an eye out for the route, you shouldn't have trouble. We saw several families last time, all smiles.
Being that it's fairly popular now, especially during the holidays, the route finding is virtually gone with a stream of hikers on the trail.

Just make sure you don't miss the left turn at the cairn .5 mile out from the TH... otherwise you'll find yourself continuing on Arizona Trail Passage 17.

Good point, we missed it once babbling!
Added a waypoint to the
Official Route.
