Anyone been by the Wave Cave recently? I am planning on heading out there tomorrow, and some of my group are rather bee phobic... It would help to know if there is a hive there!

Thanks!!

I'm not sure if there's a hive there, but it's a popular destination, and I never hear of people getting stung there.

I have not been up there this spring, but went several times last year. I assume the hive is still there (below the base of the "wave" itself). I have not noted them to be particularly aggressive, and no one in our groups has been stung, but it's a good idea to give them a relatively wide berth. If someone has a severe bee allergy, it's probably not a great destination, but otherwise, if you just mind your own business, the bees will generally do likewise.

We saw hardly any bees in/near the cave. I didn't see a hive there, but maybe I wasn't looking closely enough. Usually, you can hear a hive!! :) I guess all the bees were busy in those EXTREME wildflowers...! :D
