Couldn't decide if this hike was worth the hour trip to the Sup's on it's own. I thought about tagging it with Turks head but not enough time for it today. In the end it was time to check this one off the bucket list. Good little work out. There were the remains of a fox's head and it's tail in the cave but not much else in between. Kept us on high alert while we were in there getting the obligatory surfing pics. Ate lunch and surfed at the same time, try that in Hi. The bees were a constant presence of noise but that was the only interaction we had with them. We kept hearing voices just before we left and wondered how anyone could have possibly snuck up on us. Turns out they were up in cliffs on the other side of the canyon. They must have been exploring a new access above. All in all, it was worth the trip to finally have done it but I would have to have another trip line up with it the next time. No Joe and no Coanbru, it wont be your crazy pumpkin loop.

PS. The trails description has the trail starting just after old Palo Verde. I suspect that there was a new start to the trail because now it starts just after an old Iron Wood tree. I did come across an older trail on the way back that starts just after a Palo Verde but it is 20 ft past the Iron Wood, so take your pick.
