Mini Jug!
by joebartels

  Likely In-Season!
Overview
Arbitrary adventure along the creek until you've had enough.

Help Out!
The Forest Service does not have an effective plan in motion to keep out idiots. Beware of broken glass. Take a trash bag and invest ten minutes of your life picking litter up to help out.

Hike
Okay, you might be asking why list such a short hike. The reason is it's pretty cool with the option to continue up to the Ellison Creek Cascades. If you're in the area, it's worth the trip. There is no official trail. It's more a trail of use that skirts away from Water Wheel Camp Grounds. Yes, the hike is short. So spend some great time wading the mini gorge. The area is trashed, so take a big trash bag to clean the area. Seriously though, be careful as there is broken glass lying around the rocks. If you've been to the Salome Jug, you will be amazed at the similarity; only this is much, much smaller.

Since you're in the area, head on up to my favorite, Ellison Creek Cascades. You could even continue upstream another quarter mile from here to the confluence with Ellison Creek. Then go right, up, and over to the Ellison Cascade oasis. You might also go check out the old Water Wheel giving the area its name.
