Re: Rio Salado Habitat Restoration Area - safe?
I agree gut feeling is usually the best to go by. Better safe than sorry. Also if you are planning on doing things solo you might want to look into at least getting a can of mace, or a civilian taser. Mace is good for humans, great for dogs. Taser can be used on humans and dogs, thought its a one sh...

Dam. I figured they were. For someone I have never meet or heard of I am quit interested in this story. Again sorry for everyone's loss. If I ever get up that way I will do my part.

Re: Missing hiker in Mazatzals - gpsjoe (Joe Domin)
I did not know GPSJoe, as I am a new member here. Just wanted to stop by and tell everyone sorry for your loss. Also a quick question did the SAR team use a tracking dog at all? I know it has been a while, just wondering if anyone remembers.

Re: "Wallow Fire" in Bear Wallow Wilderness
The idea of planting the trees is nice, too, although I am not sure how one goes about it. The soil is so tough, I would have a hard time digging the hole myself. So, I am very unimpressed with the police. Hope they can keep the looters at bay. Sadly I am guessing there is a bit of lack of communic...

Re: "Wallow Fire" in Bear Wallow Wilderness
Well if there are any feed stores open I will see what I can do. From what I have read on news websites and what not there is about 60-100 people at Blue Ridge. Perfect start, maybe while there I can get in touch with someone who will set me up with something in Springerville or somewhere where I ca...

Re: "Wallow Fire" in Bear Wallow Wilderness
I currently have a Therapy Dog International certified dog. I want to head up there to help provide some sort of help to the people staying at Blue Ridge. My wife is from Show Low and most of her family still lives there. I feel a strong connection to the community even though I am not directly from...

I plan on doing this one in about two weeks with the wife. Right now with any luck I will be heading u...

Re: Best Mexican Food - White Mountains
Wife was born and raised in Show Low so we go there 4-6 times a year to visit her folks. La Casita is what some of you might be thinking of. This place rocks! Salsa is homemade so the consistency can change from think and chunky to watery, same goes for the spiciness of it. But their food rocks! LA ...
