Greetings, all. I'm planning a NOBO thru starting in March. I'd like to resupply in Patagonia. For various scheduling reasons, however, I expect to start on a Weds, and warming up slowly, will arrive in Patagonia on Saturday afternoon. Since the Post Office is closed on the weekends, I'd appreciate advice on resupplying in town. How's the Patagonia Market? Do they have HEET? Does anyone know of another location that might except a mail drop?
I expect to next resupply at La Posta Que four days later.
Thanks for any advice.

Is there anyway to get propane canisters resupplied on the trail. Do any stores have them?

I recall reading somewhere that the Stage Stop Motel accepts maildrops for a small fee. Free if you stay there. Best to give them a call and find out for sure.JimAH wrote: Does anyone know of another location that might except a mail drop?
Edit: on their website I find
We are Trail Angels for hikers; arranging transportation, receiving and shipping packages, providing laundry services, or whatever else may be needed.

Stage Stop will go way out of the way for you. That is your best bet.

Good info on the Stage Stop Inn. I now plan to use it on my trip- I should be there March 7/8.Spiced Rum wrote:Stage Stop will go way out of the way for you. That is your best bet.
Since Liz has decided to go solo I am starting a week earlier (March 3 now) and can go a bit faster. But I am not a speedster, either, and plan to do about 12- 13 miles a day to start.
I live in Florence. It is now my plan to hike from Montezuma TH to Picket Post, then take a week off. Then have my son drive me up to Utah and begin the hike back to Picket Post so I can end in my back yard.

Re: Patagonia Resupply Advice
Cool idea. At the moment, I plan on starting on 3/9. I'm going to take off a day and a half in Tucson so I doubt I'll catch-up to you before Pickets Post but look forward to crossing paths as you make your way SOBO.
Dress warm -- the North Rim and Flagstaff areas are going to be very cold this early. Do yo have a set of micro-spikes for he canyon?
