Cactus to Clouds, CA :: Staging Cars?
I'm planning on doing C2C in 2 weeks, how did y'all stage cars? Can you drop a car off in the tram parking lot the night before? If so, do you remember when it closes? Also, I saw something about a permit from the tram to the top, do we need it?

Re: Cactus to Clouds, CA :: Staging Cars?
We just called a taxi from top of tram and had one waiting for us when we got to the bottom to take us back to the museum parking lot. With a group of 3-4 people this may not be a bad option, as cost per person would be small and then there is no hassle of a second vehicle or setting up a shuttle...Yes on permit. The speedy guy ahead of me secured our permit, so I can't speak on actual process, but pretty sure its just a formality and its catered to "walk-ups."how did y'all stage cars?

@Cestrin
The permits are at the Ranger station past the tram. You just fill them out for a head count, I believe. No cost for them.
The taxi worked for us as well. I think we had five people so we made sure the taxi had room for us all. Have fun. Be careful. I have heard doing this in the hotter months can be brutal.

Will chime in as well. Grab a cab, it's about a $30 fare back to the art museum. So I paid for the cab and my hiking partner paid for lunch and a beer. Pretty much evened out.
